@fridric: I am months late on this, but oh well.
Well...as far as this goes, Jean fans only really wanted to see her grow in her telepathy and telekinesis, have writers use it in imaginative ways. Evolving Jean could be interesting, but as arguably the most powerful X-Man as it is, it would be nearly crossing into near cosmic level territory if she were to grow any further. In fact, now that Teen Jean is back to where she belongs and have adult Jean her memories, Jean is now technically already passed this. Basically, we can now attribute what Teen Jean can do as something Jean is now capable of.
That said, we are seeing new stuff from Jean:
•Back In Jean Grey’s solo, apparently, we see that ghost Jean can still use her powers even though she is technically dead as she was seen telekinetically shielding real Jean and the rest of the psychics from the Phoenix Fire.
•In Phoenix Resurrection, she is subconsciously capable of making solid psychic constructed illusions, meaning her illusions are given literal physical form. Evidence of this being from Jubilee who biting on Jeans illusion, remarked that it isn’t human, meaning it was physically there. Jean uses this ability again in X-Men: Red after her fight with Rachel, where we see Jean mimicking body parts like the skeleton and body organs after Cassandra telekinetically hit the illusion.
•In Extermination, Jean uses an ability she rarely uses. Jean is a psychometric, an ability that has been around ever since her green skirt Marvel Girl days. She uses once more in the 90’s and after Extermination, she uses it in Typhoid Fever. Unfortunately, we don’t really see this ability too much.
•Uncanny X-Men seems to have hinted that Jean May have precognition in issue one. It is unknown if this was Legion though that did this and not Jean, but it seems unlikely since the dupes followed her vision and there didn’t seem to be anything out of place like a random dupe missing.
As far as ideas go for Jean, there is a thread about that now.
