Why does every writer ignore what the last writer did with Jason?
For example, in the 'Under the Hood' run, he said that having a sick kick was pathetic, only later to try and push all previous Robins to be his side kick in 'Battle for the Cowl'.
Also, in 'Battle for the Cowl', he mentioned that Bruce's worst decision was becoming a public figure, only to appear on all TV's in an attempt to win over the citizens in 'Batman and Robin'.
Seriously, WTF is with that? Anybody else notice this?
Jason Todd
Character » Jason Todd appears in 1754 issues.
Jason Todd was the second Robin, until he was brutally murdered by the Joker. After he was resurrected, Jason learned Batman didn't avenge his death. Anguished and seeking vengeance, he initially turned against his mentor and father figure and took on the Clown Prince's former identity: the Red Hood. He eventually returned to the Bat-Family and assembled a team of anti-heroes known as the Outlaws.
Bad Jason Todd Continuity
" @Icarusflies said:No, Jason." @ReverseNegative: Maybe because he's mentally unstable? "The writers? "
" @ReverseNegative said:I thought it was just a inconsistency on the different writers' hands." @Icarusflies said:No, Jason. "" @ReverseNegative: Maybe because he's mentally unstable? "The writers? "
both?
hes emotionally disturbed and writers used that excuse to write hi off any way they wish with no regard to how he was previously written?
" @ReverseNegative: Tony Daniels "Fucking Tony Daniels.
The fact that he had to make up an abused child hood for Jason is pretty damn pathetic.
I need some molested people to write letters to DC and say you dislike them implying you're crazy because you were molested like Jason. That Jason being crazy is them calling you crazy.
That would fuck with them.

"This never has and never will be MY Red Hood. Bastards.

HAHAHAHA
The dude was brought back to life by a dude punching reality logic went out the door a long time ago
"I'm sorry but I will go to my grave saying that reality punch thing was retarded "
Didio ftw.
dont worry ,darkseid's fall from the fourth world will be used to destroy the prime punch(hopefully)
The visual is stupid I'll give that to you. However...
In a universe like DC where many earths merge into one, histories change, new realities of chaacters are born from multiverses, and other characters blip out of existence; the idea a character came back because reality hiccuped isn't that wacky.
They should own their mistakes and rectify them. Instead of...prolonging them.
Its true that the writers use his "mentally unstable mind" as the reason for never keeping things consistent with Jason. I for one think its bull shit what they do with Jason. Using him only to boost sales to a specific title then he goes back to "prison" per se. Bull shit. Aronious. Aronious on all accounts.

agreed
Truth to tell, Lost Days was another example of DC fucking up. Here we were, Post Infinite Crisis, Post Final Crisis and the movie just came out. You could've retconned right then and there. Made the movie gospel because by that point, the pit basically could raise the goddamn dead....since Grant decided so.
Though no one bitched then.

The ORIGINAL, not the stupid new Grant Morrison one.

yup

Wow, I never noticed that hias skull kinda DOES look like Clyde the red Pacman ghost.
My main problem with jason Todd is him being angry about nothing. I understand being upset about Bruce not killing Joker. I get that but the guy did put fear in Joker. That is something bruce could never do. He just should except that and move on.
Really after he was resurrected his life became better. He banged Talia Al Ghul and Donna Troy. He should be messing with Damian saying that he or Dick could be his dad instead Bruce since almost everyone got a piece of her.
Really someone should visit Jason in prison and just go over again rules of the batfamily and force him to deal with it and grow up or just GTFO and join the league of Assasins.

All the more reason I think the plot to Countdown was originally written as Dick, Donna, and Kyle since they were both ex's of hers. It makes more sense that they might have started that story with Dick being an anomaly because he was supposed to die in IC. With the original idea that Jason was to be a dark Nightwing, it makes sense Dick would've become Red Robin.
Oh, I've spent a lot of time breaking down in my head how they've screwed him up....so much time....Wow, I never noticed that hias skull kinda DOES look like Clyde the red Pacman ghost. "
And I prefer we use the alternate pac-man name...Blinky...
Far more demeaning than Clyde.
I for one liked the Countdown: Search for Ray Palmer. But I do agree with you. It did seem that Jason's part in the story was based on Dick's character. But its not that big of a deal. It was a good story and I was glad that Jason was in it. Although it would be pretty sweet to have Jason become a dark Nightwing.
And the ghosts from pac-man are as follows. (red) Blinky, (orange) Clyde, (blue) Inky, (pink) Pinky.
That I hate everything after Under The Hood except the Green Arrow crossover, Lost Days, the Outsiders 2 parter, the Fabian Nicieza stuff in Robin, and issue 51 of Countdown.
That's all quite consistent.

I didn't like the Robin stuff
Oh no? I thought initiating a gang war to thin the herds and eventually squeeze street crime did sort of fit with Under The Hood. Did that not jibe for you or was it the fighting with Tim?
