    I was thinking of getting a Darkness TPB and was wondering, is he cool? Cause I don't wanna waste my money.

    Yes Darkness is worth it, it's awesome to read. In fact the whole top cow universe is worth it. It's one of the few series I can stomach putting good money in. My favorite top cow universe series by far thought is Witchblade.

    Its a very good series.  I liked it better when Silvestri was penciling, but its really good!

    Witchblade and the darkness are my two favorite series.  If you like comics with interesting, witty characters, a good amount of gore, and fantastic writing, then check out the darkness and witchblade.

    The Darkness is my favorite comic and favorite comic book character.  In fact, it's the only series currently out that I regularly keep track of... so I'd say it's worth it (even if I'm a tad biased).

    @Static Shock: Um, it depends.  In physical strength he's pretty strong, but still within the limits of what's humanly possible.  However, once his power of being able to create basically anything using The Darkness is factored in he's basically on a god-like level (even if it takes him a while to get to that level of power).  Which is a good thing that his powers are only good in the dark, leaving him completely vulnerable in the day-time, and the fact that The Darkness has a full conscience of it's own to prevent him from being completely overpowered, but like I said it takes him a while to be able to control his powers so early on he still struggles against a few enemies making things interesting.    
     
    Also, once he does basically reach the level of a Demigod (or Devil) the writers still find ways to ground the story to make the character relatable and interesting.  Oh yeah, and if he ever has sex with a human female he'll die the second she becomes impregnated with his seed... so there's that.

    I would recommend you read a few reviews about The Darkness I like his books, he always like his books he always gets to me.

    the thing I love the most about the darkness is the artist that are behind it.  Top Cow always puts great artists on the title!
