Lawrence burst onto the comic scene with his own title, Darkham Vale, which he created, wrote, pencilled, inked and coloured. The series ran for ten issues and received a startling level of critical acclaim. Although a second series - The Dracou Imperative was planned, it never got past issue one, due to a rights dispute with the publisher.
Lawrence went on to find greater success with Lions, Tigers and Bears, written by Mike Bullock and published by Image. A four-issue series, Lions, Tigers and Bears was a surprise hit that revolved around a young boy and his stuffed animals.
UK based Lawrence also works on the British comic magazine - Jackie Chan Adventures (published by Eaglemoss), Action Man A.T.O.M. (published by Panini) and Citi-Def (for the Judge Dredd Megazine).
