One of the medium's most prolific artistic legends, Jack Kirby, "The King of Comics," was an artist, writer, and editor whose work spanned the Golden, Silver, Bronze and Modern ages of comics. Kirby created and co-created a multitude of Marvel and DC's most popular characters and many others, too. Kirby was one of the most respected artists of his time (though he didn't have personal knowledge of that, until later on), and remains so today.
other person would say he did some mostly all of his best work in marvel... with captain america, thor and many others... but for me i was inspired by jack's work in DC... most people do not know the New Gods or Kamandi but they were pretty good characters and for me iconic...

OMAC is an interesting character because he was created after the cancellation of New Gods. Due to the need to fill a monthly quota for a fifteen pages a week.

i also like OMAC... mostly all of Jack Kirby's work was legendary... even some of his not well known characters were even used today.. like OMAC and Atlas... that is why he was called the King of Comics... for me i loved the New Gods... he made Asgard or the Old Gods in to something more fresh... like integrating mythology with cosmic themes...
Kirby's creations basically set up both DC and Marvel universes. It would be impossible to think about comics today if the King never existed. For me, I am the greatest fan of his independent creations. The New Gods, Eternals and Celestials are some of my favorite characters ever.
I like most of Kirby's stuff. Etrigan the Demon, Captain America, Black Panther, Fantastic 4, the Inhumans, Eternals, Celestials, New Gods, Kamandi and the original O.M.A.C. (Buddy Blank). All cool stuff. Black Panther, the Demon, Cap and Darkseid are my favorites.
