Seriously do people just not like Iron man anymore, seriously even just around the vine hardly anyone talks about Iron man
Iron Man
Character » Iron Man appears in 11209 issues.
Tony Stark was the arrogant son of wealthy, weapon manufacturer Howard Stark. Tony cared only about himself, but he would have a change of heart after he was kidnapped by terrorists and gravely injured. Pressured to create a weapon of mass destruction, Stark instead created a suit of armor powerful enough for him to escape. Tony used his vast resources and intellect to make the world a better place as The Invincible Iron Man. Stark's super hero identity led him to become a founding member of the Avengers.
Why is this forum so dead?
Well for me that's a lot of it. After cw marvel never gave me a reason to like him again and now he's with the Illuminati. As far as guys in the mu in armor goes Tony is way down on my list. You might have to wait until the next movie to get any real activity.
@mark_stephen: I just personally think he needs a good creative team to get people talking about him again, I've been led to believe his current solo series sucks
I've never found him that interesting. But I do like Rhodey (he actually got me back into comics four years ago).
@lensnart: I don't know, after everything he's done? He was at the top of my list of characters who should be supervillains, but now he's second to Dr. Strange. But marvel wants this guy to be a villain in everything but name, treating She-Hulk like dirt, breaking the Pheonix, blowing up worlds, mind controling Norman, co-creating Clor, profiting off of the civil war... There's just too much evil and not enough heroism there for me.
@lvenger: Yes?
@dagmar_merrill: Quote function is bugged.
Have to do it manually.
His current comic isn't very good.
@lvenger: Yes?
I was quoting your statement that
His current comic isn't very good.
Except it didn't work.
His current comic isn't very good.

I only really like Iron Man as a compliment in team books.
Same here. Don't get me wrong though, I do think he's an awesome character.
I'm hoping things change around with the new book coming up. At first I was a little trepidatious, but I'm really looking forward to it now. The inclusion of Daredevil, at least initially, should bring in a lot of interest from other comic fans as well, I think.
..Iron Man is back! Yep, Superior Iron Man is a breath of fresh air after Gillen's run.
..but generally he isn't as popular amongst comic book readers as movie fans....sort of the opposite of someone like Deadpool who sells loads of comics but is hardly unknown by the general population!
I actually liked most of Gillen's run. I thought the terrible art undermined a pretty interesting new direction for him. But I am pumped for SIM!!! 1st issue was superb.
His current comics aren't very good as some said, and comic Iron Man is laughably less popular when compared to his MCU version.
His current comics are pretty bad.
That's being nice...
@krleavenger: Yes, good to see you! (I've had some personal problems, to say the least. LOL But it's all solved now.) I'm not sure if I'll be able to post in here on long term but for now I am here. :)
@krleavenger: Thank you for the words mate. I'll be around!
@lensnart: probably because comic book Iron Man is dead right now, and probably because he hasn't been in a good solo story since the end of Matt Fraction's run. And maybe because Iron Man is mostly popular among general audience due to movies, and they don't read comics and hang out on this site just to discuss movies.
