    Iron Man

Character » Iron Man appears in 11210 issues.

Tony Stark was the arrogant son of wealthy, weapon manufacturer Howard Stark. Tony cared only about himself, but he would have a change of heart after he was kidnapped by terrorists and gravely injured. Pressured to create a weapon of mass destruction, Stark instead created a suit of armor powerful enough for him to escape. Tony used his vast resources and intellect to make the world a better place as The Invincible Iron Man. Stark's super hero identity led him to become a founding member of the Avengers.

I'm making a series of forum threads asking specifics on what was wrong and what was right (oposed to what you liked and didn't like) with some comic book films...

    Movie: X-Men

    Example:

    • Right: Stark is alcoholic
    • Wrong: Jarvis is not a butler but a machine

About it not being long enough, It was made with the intention of being an opening scene setter.  They have just started on Iron Man 2 and I'm quite certain, there will be a 3 and 4.

Iron Man, even though not even nearly one of my fave characters (bows head, sulks and thinks of Civil War) (*sigh*)  the film was awesome. I didn't think I would, but I loved it.  They kept it as close to the original story as they could of, in regards to how he became Iron Man. Obvioulsy they modernised it.  Out of all the MArvel films, it was the one that tried it's hardet to stick to the comics.

Right: The suit,  Tony Staks cocky arrogance, Robert Downy JR was so right for the part.  The introduction of Ultimate Nick Fury.  (Gave me shivers)

Wrong: Jarvis as a computer program,  not really enough Iron Man action (think about it, there are only three scenes where he is in the full armour suit. He first tries the suit in full flight, he flies to Afghanistan and the final fight scene, thats it) Other than that, really not many faults with the film.

Right: Robert Downy Jr. was perfect for the role. Good SFX.

Wrong: Except for maybe the first, and the one when he takes out the terrorists, the action scenes blew (the last fight made Tranformers' look good in comparison), uh the story wasn't all that? I dunno, I didn't really like Iron Man too much.

The only wrong thing I seen was that Jarvis was the computer guy.
