First issue of Dan Slott's Iron Man is out. What are your thoughts? Personally, I like the inclusion of such fan-favorite characters as Fin Fang Foom, Bethany Cabe, and Controller, but the storyline itself feels very loose and the overall tone is too... cartoony ...for a character that was generally known in the past as one of Marvel's most mature heroes.

@zhangthong12: I really didn't care for the issue very much either. I didn't like the art and I felt like it was trying too hard to be funny.

I thought it was a fun read but like Jake said, i wasnt a fan of the art and and it was trying way too hard to be funny. Hopefully they take a more mature approach in the following issues.

@zhangthong12: @hc03: Did you guys read issue 2 yet? I thought it was much better and the addition of Rhodey was good too.

@jakefuryv2: I did read it. I enjoyed it. Getting a bit tired of Jocasta's 'rights for robots' gimmick. At first it was quite humorous but now it seems like they trying to make it an actual serious thing. Liked the ending though and the return of Rhodey.

@hc03: how long has Jocasta been doing the gimmick?

@hc03: gotcha. I am sort of interested in seeing where it goes. The stuff with Rhodey and his issues were great.

@jakefuryv2: Dont get me wrong. They could do something good with it for sure. Im certainly interested in where this run goes.

After I read this, I never bothered reading anymore of the issues that have come out since. Tony's personality is all over the place. Plus, more focus is placed on the supporting characters rather than the star of the book and that is a huge turn off. It's obvious the writer has no clue on how to write Tony Stark.
