There was a lot of hate going on for Iron Man during Civil War and after when Captain America died.  I do feel he sort of redeemed himself a tiny bit during Secret Invasion.  With Norman Osborn taking over and Tony losing control of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers, it seemed like he was just getting a giant treatment of karma for all his actions.
 
Things have been pretty bad in his Invincible Iron Man title.  With issue #20, we will see the beginning of "Stark: Disassembled" (on sale in November).  What do you think?  What will be Tony's final fate?  Is he still deserving of all the bad things that are still happening?  Check out the wraparound cover by Patrick Zircher.

I doubt he's going to be killed and I doubt it would be by Thor's hand, no matter what Tony has done in the past he, Thor, and Cap have always been friends. My question is why is he in the new armor when last we saw Tony he was wearing the classic Iron Man from the 80s?

Read Iron Man. Get past all the Miller hated hi, BS and you'll find if people would have listened to him in the first place the CW never would have happened. He was wanting a peaceful end. Steve started the War. Like Happy said, he's the only one who saw both sides.

I think Tony deserves to suffer after what he did with Civil War, but only because this suffering, I think, will redeem him completely in helping to fix things. A simple slap on the wrist wouldn't suffice. It's a good drama that will bring him back to where he should be.

I've been on board the Iron Man series since the end of Secret Invasion, to me, he was worth keeping an eye on during Dark Reign.  I was going to drop the book once "Worlds Most Wanted" is complete but the next arc intrigues me. When I first saw that cover I decided to stay on board.

Oh you know its going to be something cheesy like Tony almost dies and Thor decides that he's paid the price for his sins... yada yada yada.... Thor fights Sif or Mephisto for Tony's soul and then all is forgiven....
 
Lately I feel like every major Marvel event isn't so much an event onto itself as it is simply a lead into the next major event.  
Avengers Disassembled ---> House of M ----> Civil War -------> Iron Man Rules the World -----> Secret Invasion -----> Dark Reign.
 
Not that DC is any better; but I'm digging Blackest Night after the cluster F' that was Final Crisis.

It's my understanding that this isn't so much about the complete end so much as it is about flushing out everything that's happened in the last few years of Marvel time for Iron Man

I think its time that Marvel Universe has started forgiving Iron Man for Civil War and Captain America's Death. Not a single person seemed to put the blame on Reed  Richards and he had an almost equal part in the whole thing.
