On October 23, word is the trailer for Iron Man 3 will debut. That's not too far off now but of course we want to see anything we can as soon as we can. A new piece of promo art has surfaced over at CBM showing the 'Mark XLVII' armor in action.

Kind of makes you want to high five your computer screen, right? We've seen some 'leaked' images pop up before. This image has also been seen but in a much smaller, lower quality version. I'm curious what the 'general public' of moviegoers will think about the armor with less red featured. I'm also very curious to see what new features this armor will have in the movie.

Hopefully we'll see something once the trailer is released.

Interesting armor

@G-Man: Don't lie you know you high fived the screen...I did too...

My only gripe about this armor is I would've liked to see more repulsor nodes like on his Bleeding Edge armor, but other than that I'm fine with it. Can't wait to see the movie, hope they ramp up the action though Iron Man 2 left me a little wanting.

3 is going to feature the extremis virus from what I know, that and the original synopsis I read for the movie makes it seem like it will be Tony Stark vs That Armor

The armor doesn't look as bad when I first saw it. Maybe it's because I gotten use of the yellow color overtaking the red on the armor.

Looks a bit more extremis inspired. I don't know why they just don't go the whole way and use the comic book extremis look.

I love the new armor, and despite some people's complaints about there being too much gold on the suit, I personally think the new color scheme sets the armor apart from Tony's previous armors.

Looks pretty cool but it's still a little hard to get the full view. I'm pretty interested to see any new upgrades and what he can do this time.

Hopefully this movie won't be one big advertisement for the next avengers film like Iron Man 2 was.

Maybe the added gold coloration is a clue that the movie will take place in space? Iron Man initially added gold to his suit to prevent it from freezing in the upper atmosphere

I wasn't so sure about it before but that Gold/Red armor looks insane.

I'll give my final judgement it when I see it in action, but based on the actual images I've seen, I'm not digging it so far.

This is a much better render compared to the original pictures. At least here the gold isn't dull and flat, but to me... It's just not enough red. Call me old school, but Tony's never had this much gold in a suit before. Maybe it'll grow on me when this hits theaters, but I still prefer red as the dominant color in the Iron Man suits.

I'm not liking this armor as much as the others, especially from other images that have been leaked. I know the movie will be awesome so I guess I'll just have to live with it.
