@tayssti: Iron Man should be stronger than War Machine, That armor which lifted the tank was created by Tony himself.
Iron Man
Character » Iron Man appears in 11197 issues.
Tony Stark was the arrogant son of wealthy, weapon manufacturer Howard Stark. Tony cared only about himself, but he would have a change of heart after he was kidnapped by terrorists and gravely injured. Pressured to create a weapon of mass destruction, Stark instead created a suit of armor powerful enough for him to escape. Tony used his vast resources and intellect to make the world a better place as The Invincible Iron Man. Stark's super hero identity led him to become a founding member of the Avengers.
How strong is MCU Iron Man
@adriusus: maybe so, but in the films I haven't seen iron man lift anything close to that scan.
Iron Mans feats in the movies where he is moving or pushing heavy objects with his repulsers for sure show that the suit has a high level of durability against compressive forces. They are not however strength feats of the mechanics of the suits. They are more of a type of durability feat since the suit did not start folding in on itself.
@tayssti: A person still needs extremely strong physical strength in lifting a boat, the limbs should also be strong enough. Imagine an average human wearing jetpack, could he lift it? No.
Are you saying because he doesn't get crushed under the weight he's a 100 tonner?
If you were put under 100 tons of weight with a Jetpack exerting enough force in the opposite direction to push upwards, but with durability high enough so that your forearms wouldn't instantly explode; You would not be lifting 100 tons. You would be the durable intermediary between the downward force (100 tons) and the slightly greater upward force (Jet propulsion).
It's not the same thing.
@buildhare: So with that logic, MCU Ironman strength level is 50-60 tons?
@buildhare: So with that logic, MCU Ironman strength level is 50-60 tons?
Its reasonable to assume he's a bit stronger than War Machine, but as its a second hand feat I think 60 tons is a fair estimate for now. Fits nicely into his High-mid tier rank.
What do you think is his strength level/range, in terms of tonnage?
Any armor for MCU Iron Man, but no Hulkbuster, Igor and any Iron Legion suits.
Comic and composite feats are not allowed, but MCU canon comic scan are allowed.
His Durability is Building level (Survived Thor's Mjolnir strikes) | Building level+ (Survived hits From Hulk.)
His lifting Strength is like 10^6 to 10^9 kg (The mass of the largest ship, small pyramids)
Physical Strikes are Room level to casual Room level.
@m_man: Everything you just posted is with the addition of his repulsors/flight.
Having rockets under your feet and flying up isn't the lifting strength of the suit. Catching the car is (while probably a low showing) an example of lifting strength.
...... for real??? you know the armor still has to be able to support that much weight right?? like if there were rockets on your feet, and you had to go catch a falling airplane, even if they produced enough force to move the airplane it would be useless cause your body would just be smushed in between cause it can't support the weight. he's clearly still upright and clearly still supporting the weight.
if superman flies while carrying something he's still lifting it. This is both a flight feat, cause it shows his flight can exert X amount of force, but it's also still a lifting a feat.
@bflynn316: Even though he was holding back?
@bflynn316: Even though he was holding back?
He should be able to casually beat both of them at once even if he is holding back. He's leagues above them.
