    You mean the 'One More Day' disaster? That was a) a powered up post 'the Other' Spider-Man that no longer  exists and b) the worst written Spider-Man story in history. That should never have happened.

    interesting thought and I would say up until civil war he would have never thought it necissary but he might be rethinking that one.

    even if he did make an armor to beat spider man how would it differ from his other armor what could he do to it to make it just to battle spider man

    All Iron Man would need to beat Spidey would be a sample of his 'spider-tracer' material.  Then just saturate the local atmosphere with a fine mist of the material and spam Spider-Man's Spider Sense.

    Punisher pulled off something similar in an issue of "What if..."  He managed to kill Spidey by aiming for an explosive detonator that he had disguised as Doctor Octopus.  Spider-Man's spider-sense went off, but no more so than if he'd been confronted with the real Doc Ock.  By then, it was too late.
