Home Sweet Home!
The Story:
Iron Man has finally freed himself of the menace of 451 and escaped the God Killer being cast into a sub dimension. He says his good byes to the Guardians of the Galaxy and returns home to Earth.
The Good:
I have loved this story arc so far. The twists and turns have left me wanting more and I am still expecting some huge surprises to come. This issue brings Tony back to Earth and the first thing he decides to do is go and get a piece of pizza. I can't say I really blame him on that course of action.
What I liked best about this issue is the viewpoint form 451's perspective. His actions have born fruit and his inner dialogue conveys his disgust with himself and his failure to protect the universe. While probably still seen as a villain from Tony Stark's perspective this does allow the reader to see how and why he was justified in his actions. This is a case of the villain being a sympathetic one and its done very well.
The art by Carlo Pagulayan is beautiful. He captures Tony very well inside and outside of the armor. Eaglesham may be my favorite on this series so far but Pagulayan doesn't disappoint.
More Surprises! Tony finds something on Earth and our story isn't over yet.
The Bad:
The Pepper Potts engagement drama came out of nowhere and I could care less about it. Perhaps, it will lead into something interesting.
