The latest in a long line of warriors who wielded the power, Danny Rand is the immortal Iron Fist: protector of the mystical city of K'un Lun. He channels the soul of the dragon Shou-Lao making his fists into powerful weapons. He is among the best, if not the best fighter in the Marvel Universe. He has also been a member of The Defenders and the New Avengers.
I hope they start with the disco collar one but then upgrade to the second current costume. The thing I don't like about the MUA2 outfit is it looks like armor. If there's anyone that shouldn't be wearing armor its Iron Fist.
@ReverseNegative: Nah, I agree with Prince, armor for Iron Fist is pointless. Can't recall any of the Iron Fists wearing armor, actually, not even Bei Bang-Wen...
For someone who is supposed to be a great martial artist, armor is a sign of weakness. Just look at most martial arts movies, are there many heroes that wear armor? Nope, they wear loose fitting clothes and end up dramatically tearing off their shirt. And considering the awesome dragon tattoo, tearing the shirt off could work very well for this movie. No point in it being there if Danny doesn't show it off at some point.
Definitely no armor. Not for the dude who has a fist like unto iron.
