Welcome to The City! Dr. Vonscruting has just successfully implemented rOid 4.0 on Michael Iron, and now Big Daddy wants to test him out. Enter "The Johnson Rose Massacre!"

Dr. Lubicus is trying to explain to Angel chse, why they should have left Iron to Die, instead of saving him as well. To make his point, Lubicus explains the story of Iron's first mission for Big Daddy.

Iron receives rOid 4.0 and is the first person who hasn't ended up with severe brain damage. Having gained the Strength and Stamina of 5 men, Big Daddy sends Iron to deliver a message to Dr. Johnson, as a test run for his newly gained abilities. Johnson's buildings had been prepared with defense to withstand a small army, and that's what he got! Johnson had purchased the best defenses that money could buy, but they BARELY slowed Iron down. Once Iron gets to Johnson's office he is introduced to Mr. Fong, who has sworn to serve Johnson as protector, until he saves his life. Iron pulls out what appears to be a rocket launcher, but turns out to just hold a rose with a message attached. Johnson begins to tell Iron that he intends to announce his candidacy for Mayor in front of City Hall the following day, when a bee flies out from the rose and towards Johnson. Mr. Fong easily kills the be, thus repaying his debt to Johnson, and begins to walk out. As Fong passes Iron, he gives Iron a prophetic warning. "You too beware the man of flowers." The following day Johnson announces that he won't run for Mayor.

Angel explains to Lubicus, that Iron is their best chance for success.

But what little I was able to read of Iron and the Maiden...I loved! The assassination sequence was beautiful. They sent nothing but a "brose" (a rose...
