    New Beginnings

    The Story:

After Black Bolt unleashes a Terrigen Mist cloud on the world, new Inhumans begin occurring at an alarming rate. Dubbed NuHumans by Queen Medusa, she and her fellow Inhumans begin an attempt to gather them and nurture them in the city of Attilan. This of course doesn't go quite as well as planned and we're also introduced to different sects of Inhumans from around the world.

This collection introduces us to a wide variety of new Inhumans with a strong focus on Medusa and her desire to find her missing husband Black Bolt post-Infinity. I was a bit disappointed that many of the Inhumans we've come to know and love weren't the focus of this one. Most of the focus is on these new characters but that's not necessarily a bad thing as many of them are quite interesting.

Another aspect of this story I enjoyed is the role as Queen of the Inhumans Medusa holds and how she is dealing and struggling to unite her people in this new era for them. She is a very strong character in this book and written very well by Soule.

I was not a huge fan of the Inhumans prior to reading this sseries but it definitely has me interested. I hope in the next issues to come there a better balance between old and new characters. I think a mix of the two will make this an interesting series to continue with.
