Altwaal is a member and leader of the godlike race known as the First. He is considered the first among the First, and was long thought dead, but was actually in self-imposed exile.
Animora was a member of House Sinister and young by the standards of the First. She was ambitious and would be the rival of Ingra. She learned the folly of her ways when she challenged Ingra in public (all staged by Ingra who had grown tired of her) resulting in her being transformed into a monster and banished from Elysia. She would later try to get her revenge on Ingra through the mortal sigil bearer Giselle Villard, but to no avail, she was soundly defeated and taken away by Ingra for an indeterminate punishment.
Braag was a former lover of Ingra. She led him to believe he was the father of the child she carried (Persha) and used this to seduce him into seducing Tulity to plan the assassination of Altwaal. Time passed and Ingra still had Braag wrapped around her finger, yet he desired to be free of her. He took his chance when he teamed up with Seahn (who was later revealed to be the unknown son he had with Tulity). The two deposed Ingra, Seahn murdered Braag soon after.
Darrow was a lover of Ingra. In his arrogance he cheated on Ingra with a younger member of their house (Animora). Ingra staged a confrontation between the three that would paint her the victum. She then banished Animora and had the entire house shun Darrow. To get in her good graces he leaves Elysia to investigate the sigil bear Giselle Villard. The release of Animora by Giselles enemies prompted Darrow to ally himself with his old lover in an attempt to get revenge on Ingra, the attempt failed, Animora was captured and Darrow was dealt with in an unknown manner. He may have been banished as he was later encountered by Giselle still on her homeworld in a section devoid of magic rendering him powerless.
Ervulsh was a member of Ingras council, who was secretly in love with her, until she was deposed by Seahn. Ervulsh had her imprisoned on his world where he professed his love. Sensing Pyrems approach, Ingra pretended to be interested in him long enough to steal power from him, which she used against him and against his prison to free herself. In a violent rage and profession of hate he was going to devour her until Pyrem appeared and defeated him.
Evinlea is a member of The First who was kidnapped by the Negation Empire and eventually became the consort of Charon, the Negation's Emperor.
Giselle is the mystic guardian of her homeworld of Ciress, and was trained by the Seven Spirits.
Ihroe is a member of the race of godlike beings known as the First and serves as House Dexter's all seeing Council Guardian.
Oriums vision led to the dissidence that caused the First to be split into two houses, Ingra was a supported, but after he was cursed by Altwaal for his limited vision, Ingra mad a power play and replaced him as leader of House Sinister.
In an attempt to seduce Seahn, Ingra was betrayed by both him and his real rather (Braag). Seahn then killed Braag and took House Sinister for himself.
Tiena is a secundae of House Sinister and the childhood friend of Persha. She practices a form of plant magic and is envious of Ingras power at spell casting. She vows to one day have the power to break one of Ingras enchantments.
Yala and Ingra have known each other since their very creation and have always seemed at odd ever since. To keep Yalas lover Gannish loyal, Ingra has threatened to have Yala harmed.
