    When Illena landed on Earth, Superman was smitten... a truth which drew the ire of both Lois Lane/lana-lang/29-5547/ and Lana Lang.Lois and Lana would draw a truce in an attempt to expose Illena for what she was... an assassin sent by the Revenge Squad who, with the tresses of Medusa, intended to turn Superman to stone.

    Lois and Lana's persistence bore fruit. Stealing the tresses of Medusa, Lois used them to turn Illena to stone.
