Kill them all!
This issue is neither particularly noteworthy, nor particularly bad but as an incentive to keep reading this series doesn't necessarily hit its mark either. The issue basically follows the group of heroes as they descend into the darkness to fight Mary and her group of vampires and really all that happens is a issue long battle. There are a few interesting twists (and notably the last one) but the main problem with them is that they involve a bit too much of vampire lore specific to only these vampires. While the ending could be said to be somewhat obvious, it was still an interesting way to end the book. Mostly though other than some creepy references to Batman, his presence is completely unnecessary here and perhaps even a bit counter-productive. This series is better than average generally speaking, but has never reached a point higher than that.
