Hykraians

Creation

The natives of the planet Hykraius first appeared in the series titled Legion of Super-Heroes (third series) #9, April 1985, from the publisher DC Comics.

History

The aquatic in appearance natives of the methane based atmosphere from the planets Hykraius are an ancient race with natural aptitudes as mentalist species. All Hykranians are able to communicate telepathically, some becoming powerful enough to break down the psychic barriers of other strong telepaths. They are also gifted with the ability of telekinesis, the power of mind over matter. Some are powerful enough to move quite large amounts of mass around. Only one member of the race of Hykarians has made notable headlines and that is the member of the Legion of Super Heroes called Tellus who wears a special helmet to survive off world.

Notable Hykraians

Ganglios: The Legionnaire named Tellus left his planet at a very young age to become a student of the Earth's Legion Academy. He would later be recruited to join the Legion of Super-Heroes.
