The story line keeps Hydroman's origin the same as it was in the comic books of the 1940's. In Project Superpowers Hydroman and almost all the superhero's of the world are trapped in The Urn of Pandora by a misguided Fighting Yank. Hydroman is left there in limbo for sixty years until the Fighting Yank realizes his mistake and lets him out. It is at this point that Hydroman has to come to grips with a changed world and the people he was forced to leave behind.
