Origin

Hutch acted as the former military commander of one of Bloodshot's alter ego's during one of his missions for Project Rising Spirit. In reality he is the chief security officer for PRS. Hutch replaced Bloodshot's former handler Emmanuel Kuretich after Dr. Kuretich discovered PRS' true motives. During his infiltration of PRS's main base, The Nursery, Bloodshot killed Hutch after recognising him as one of the men who had wronged him in the past.

Creation

Hutch was created by writer Duane Swierczynski and artists Arturo Lozzi and Manuel Garcia. He first appeared in the story "Bloodshot Part 1: Dunk Tank" in Bloodshot #1 (Jul. 2012).
