There's no reason to think he would do anything other than melt, just like anyone else. Even if he didn't, he would be crushed by gravity.

he' d be fine but his heat adding the sun... near by planets wouldn't be fine

Firstly, Johnny's flame needs oxygen in order to allow him to fly- several times he had headed so hgh into the atmosphere that there is insufficient oxygen to support it( in the case of heroes like Thor or Iron Man- whose armor has its own air supply- this would not be a matter)- so I doubt if he could fly in space anyway!
