After being bombarded with a massive dose of gamma radiation while saving a young man's life during an experimental bomb testing, Dr. Robert Bruce Banner was transformed into the Incredible Hulk: a green behemoth who is the living personification of rage and pure physical strength.
I am tempted to go with the art honestly. Not to say Ewing isn't killing but the art has been a huge element of immortal hulk. Some of the facial expressions hulk shows while talking are just incredible. The two best scenes IMO are the one scene from issue one when Tommy is pleading to the hulk and the "I love you" scene later.
As great as Ewing has been, Joe Bennet also deserves his dues. His art is like half the reason the book is as amazing as it is IMO. Comics are a visual medium at the end of the day.
I love all 3 honestly. The story is groundbreaking and is shaping up to be one of the best Hulk stories ever. The artwork is amazing and the book wouldn't be what it is if it wasn't for all the amazing moments Bennet is able to capture from Hulks facial expressions to disfigured transformations to all the body horror. And yea the feats and action is exciting, there have definitely been moments where i got goosebumps.
