I loved the run when the hulk became zen banner but this might be my favorite hulk run. This arc is freaking epic. I love the more intelligent variations of hulk.

@bonifidehustla: I know. He seems to be nothing more than the black version of what general Ross used to be. I guess that they had to give the hulk a human antagonist. This has been done before. I hope they evolve his character. That one note general Ross character got pretty old to me.

Immortal Hulk with 87k and 75k copies respectively, Damn... the comic is going strong.

This issue legitimately made me feel bad for the hulk. It wasn’t even due to any particular revelations, just the things that happen, especially that 2nd to last page...

Also.. that new harpy design is freaking terrifying under Bennett.

This is also probably the most excited I’ve been for the next issue (at least since the one that ended with the breaker of worlds thing) and it sucks that the next issue isn’t till next month.

Not to mention that this issue was just really good. Ewing one upping himself as always in every front. Easily one of the most chilling issues yet.

@battle123axe: The last 3 page in this issue was kinda disturbing. Seeing as how Hulk is being disassembled was disturbing. I felt sorry for the hulk because this is the first time i will see him being scared like a baby. The moment Betty went straight to the hulk, i was thinking if she will help him but no, she made things worst by removing his heart. What is she trying to achieve though?

Well didn't expect that ending. Is Hulk in this issue supposed to be Savage Hulk given the way he spoke to Betty?

No telling how much of this is Betty and how much of it is the leftover anti-Banner programming from her Red Hulk days influencing her behaviour. She might come around later, future issues indicate that all three of the mutates work together. Right now, we're in the eye of the storm. A little more patience is needed to see just how they all reconcile.

@zariusii: That's how i felt too before this issue. I feel like this harpy is her second incarnation and the red she hulk will come out later. She looks terrifying.

Betty is broken. Hulk was made to suffer for the sins of humanity.

Another amazing issue, this one might be the most disturbing yet in many ways. I absolutely loved the butterfly metaphor, i just wonder what Al is planning to do with Betty. Is her breaking out of her "web", her actually giving up on Hulk/Bruce entirely, or is something else here at play. We know they team up in the future thanks to some of the spoilers, so i genuinely wonder what's going on.

Either way i am wondering how Hulk is suppose to survive this without a healing factor, or how does he end up getting it back, i think we might get some really big revelations in the next issue.

The "Betty is friend" line pulled at my heartstrings, no pun intended. What I love about this series is that I have no f*cking clue where this is going to go. Ugh, the only negative thing about The Immortal Hulk is the waiting.

I mean, Devil Hulk seems in control who's in the spotlight, so either he let Savage hulk come out to gain some sympathy cards from Betty/Rick, or as we've seen, extreme moments of emotional distress cause this version of the Hulk to emerge.

Likely it's the latter, but I wouldn't put it past Devil Hulk to try to use dirty tactics.

Al has expressed doubts that we'll see a worldbreaker Hulk in this run, but from what was said about the fight in the next issue turning 'explosive', there almost definitely will be large amounts of gamma released

yeah. I think the issue implied that she was trying to get her freedom from the Hulk by killing him, and also there may not be any concrete reason, it said that she was in constant rage and pain

@theacidskull: That's an interesting theory. It's completely in character for Devil Hulk to use psychology as much as his fists.

true but i'd think the damage suffered to hulk was framed in such a way that i don't think devil hulk can use anything, at least until he heals. And thw fact that's its already established that the big guy comesout at times of extreme emotion, and this is the most extreme Hulk has been at yet, i don't think Devil Hulk has any ulterior motives. I'd think the hulk's in shock that he just got demolished so easily

@battle123axe: Probably. We've seen him revert to Savage Hulk during times of extreme stress.

Does that mean she really hates the Hulk and likes Bruce Banner? Not sure. She's even more grimmer or Darker than Devil Hulk by a mile. How the hell is Hulk gonna heal from this? I think another incarnation of Hulk will have to emerge. An incarnation who probably have a better healing factor than Devil hulk . Maybe Mindless Hulk, who knows.

perhaps. I think devil hulk is fully capable of healing from this, it's been well established that his healing factor is ridiculous. I also think it's implied that all the hulks have a similar capacity of healing

I have another theory that Devil Hulk will invade Betty's and Rick's mind to snap them out of the brainwashing to some degree. I mean, Betty began munching on the Hulk, and Fortean's men said that Abomination needs to eat before he can produce more of that gamma acid. Eating may mean absorbing to some capacity so, who knows what'll happen.

Hulk torment is unfathomable. Kinda sad. Though to be honest Eddie and Bruce need to sit down and have a talk. Literally everything goes wrong for them these days
