Cho wasn't on the list, the intelligencia demoted him. I don't think there were any specific paramaters I think it was just who the intelligencia thought were the most intelligent

Peter Parker should be somewhere. Not on the top 8, but somewhere below that, I think. At least from what I've read.

It's not a joke, at all. He's at the bottom of the list. He claimed that he was the eighth.  "

I don't agree with the list, if anything those are the highest profile smart people in the MU. This list is basically a trope. No written intelligent villain character would come up with a list of the most intelligent characters (people) on Earth list, it would be redundant and a waste of resources. Intelligence isn't synonymous with effectiveness. (in many cases in real life it can be a hindrance) They basically complied a list of smart heroes, rather than the 8 smartest. A list of characters that might stop them, renown for their intelligence. Its like making a list of the tallest people in real life, and only including Basketball players and WWE wrestlers (its a flawed analogy I realize) 
If you think people can hellava detailed and complex about which are the 8 strongest characters on Earth are, taken into consideration how broad an assertion that is, how the context varies, how absence of proof isn't proof of absence, and then how one can be strong in some areas, and then inherent strength vs built up strength, then actual strength vs applied strength.... well with intelligence its that time 1000. 

Anyway, its comics (especially this comic series, and this comic writers style) though and so I run with it. As far as its accuracy though? Yeah just... plus even the purpose? The measurement as well? Who created the measurement? Way too many holes. Smart characters don't sound so smart when they sound TV smart.

banner says that amadeus cho is the 10th. and he also somehow calculates dr. doom's smarty-score instantly when he was hit by leader's dumb-ray - 4.956.342.261, but of course he may be bluffing.

i agree that t'challa doesn't seem to fit in there - he is an awesome guy of course, but not exactly on par with the others. also this list needs more supervillains, or at least some anti-heroes and maybe neutrals. doc ock maybe... then mr. sinister, apocalypse and mandarin can fight to the death for beast's place... that would be awesome, oh wait... two of them are already dead, so let's welcome mandarin to the big leagues.

Ugh Peter Parker is not that smart . Whenever he needs something he goes to Reed or some other scientist . He's a photographer not a NASA scientist . And yes there are probably some D-list no name or unknowns who should make the list but with that you're just being far too critical. This was pretty much the list that Marvel has given for the past 20+ years (with the addition of Cho)

The problem with this list is it is very biased based on the fact that everybody here are popular characters. If you would have called this list the 8 smartest male superheroes i would agree. but there are other people who are more intelligent. The Leader should be smarter than all of them since his intellgence and brain activity is classified as superhuman. but his instability and ego gets in the way. What about the High Evolutionary.. based on the fact that he is an evolved human he is smarter than the people on that list... he is just buit better mentally. Its been disputed for a long time if Reed richards intelligence was enhanced by the cosmic storm, if it was than he should be taken off this list because of the fact that his mind wouldnt be human anymore.

Well good luck trying to capture these people,especially the guy with a reality warper son and the one who is part of the Big Three,not to mention the one who turns into a green rage monster if angry.

It seems correct to me,thought Stark should be higher than T'Challa IMO.But again it would take some work to get all these people against their wills;

okay people you must remember this list has always been about non-enhanced minds, this is why people like the high evolutionary and the leader cannot be put here and anyone who is against amadeus cho, he's awesome he has a hypercomputer mind and even gets hercules powers and the powers of zeus for a while

@innervenom123: Totally agree, that was a big miss, no matter his age, his brilliance is undeniable. As Dr. Octopus said in Spiderman 2 "Peter Parker, brilliant but lazy". Brilliant yes, lazy not so much. The irony!
