Crushing comets
This book has an edge: making a character that was a villain, a Hulk foe, and not so interesting to be honest, into a fitting and enjoyable read, even after the whole World War Hulks. It seems to me that Red Hulk had a dead line, like a goal stipulated by Loeb and that Parker managed to go beyong that line, once he is writing a book that is appealing and fun, with interactions with different Marvel´s characters. Putting in other words, changing a villain into a heroe isn´t an easy task, and even if this Scorched Earth isn´t the best script in the last 20 years (mutants, comets and now a black hole), you have to give credit to Parker because he is the one making the transition of the character, so Bendis can use him in his Avengers, and for that he´s got to pay (and he´s getting his ass kicked). This issue is fun, with lots of action (Iron Man and Red Hulk, Thor and Red Hulk and they against the comets) and a solid art, what makes the minor mistakes just bearable (like the scene when Red Hulk grabs Thor´s hammer and he lets it fall: Red´s hands weren´t supposed to fall like that; and the comets names were DB07 and DB08 and in 2 pages after Banner refers to one of them as DB09, just terrible). And the background story isn´t good (Cartoonish style of Mark Robinson doesn´t please me)
