The kind of hero you'd see saving a cat out of a tree

Who is Huck? Well he's the latest creation of Mark Millar and is a lot like Superman. Huck was left at an orphanage as a baby and grew up to be a quiet and humble person who helps others. He has super speed and strength and uses these abilities to help people in need. He's your typical hero that helps people not because of some tragic backstory but because he's a good person who wants to help people and has powers to do that. Its the superhero archetype and yet something that the superhero seems to be in short supply of. A lot of heroes today seem to require a dark backstory or moral struggle to seem "modern and relatable", but to me Huck shows that you dont necessarily need those things to tell a good story and make a good hero. Huck is full optimism and is what I would describe as a feel good comic. The only problem I have with it is that its hard to tell what exactly the direction of the series is. It does a good job of establishing our hero and showing he wants to help everyone he possibly can. Its just too soon to tell exactly how the series will develop. The artwork in it really didnt seem to leave too much impression on me. Its not terrible or too good. I would describe it as slightly less than average. If you feel that superheroes are at their best when they are helping because they are good people and want to set an example for others, then I would highly recommend reading Huck. Hopefully with time the series will develop and become even greater.

The issue is just a great read, it may be about Huck but he is not telling the story which is great as it reflects the mysteriousness surrounding him, but not the normal intense/dangerous mystery but something more sweet and intriguing. I really like how the story unfolds with stories about Huck's actions, and personality. Huck is a ...
