    1. Hop On the Welfare Wagon!: (public service message from Superman) A man tells Mr. Stanton that Superman will speak for their hospital fundraiser. He responds "Who needs a hospital in this town? I can take care of myself. I'm not giving a red cent, Superman or no Superman." Just then, Superman shows up saying he "has the wrong slant" and explaining that Americans have always helped each other when sickness and trouble came.
    2. The Man With the Evil Eye!: (by Ruben Moreira) Blinded by cornea damage from a gun exploding in his face, a gangster named Jim Keene moves to a superb across state lines to lay low. after he learns his neighbor has willed his corneas to him in the event of his death, Jim arranges an accident. Once he can see again he bumps into a man on the street and after a brief argument, the man dies of a heart attack while ranting about Jim's evil eye. Jim dismisses the idea but the papers play up ie idea that he can kill with a look. he then meets a girl at a club and falls in love but when she tells him she is having dinner with another man he gets angry, yelling at her and she too has a heart attack renting about his evil eye. Panicked, he runs to the doctor demanding he take the eye out, and when the doctor tells him to come back tomorrow he declares he killed a guy for this eye. It is then revealed that both deaths were faked in an elaborate ruse to get him to confess to murder.
    3. River of Death: legend about a river that people believe no one who falls in can escape alive.
    4. Friday the 13th Club: A shopkeeper and a cabby start a club to change superstitions.
    5. Nightmare: A man is dreaming about people dying and the dreams are coming true.
