But when a Blue Light from her colored past appears in front of her door, it sparks a series of events that lead Hotwire and Mobey across the city attempting to stop the results of a secret government project from turning the city into another living nightmare.     Present day

    Hotwire hasn't left her apartment in the six months following the events of Requiem of the Dead, her scars have healed but she hasn't been able to working since.

    Det. Peter Mobey is on call to the scene of a phantasm killing, a young soldier killed on a training mission came back and killed his Stepfather. he needs help and he calls Hotwire on her home number asking her for help. She doesn't answer and continues talking with an unseen entity with a ghostly voice.

    Six years ago

    Following the death of her mother Hotwire goes on a self destructive binge of drugs and alcohol. She has a boyfriend and she uses drugs to make herself dumb and happy. One night on a bridge above a motorway she and her friend are causing trouble when the spy a blue-light of an old bearded man watching them with sad eyes. Her friend messes around and throws her from the bridge teasing her that the ghost is coming of her. She lands on the road but the cars are all connected and don't come close to hitting her. The ghost however is enrages and calling her friend a dog attacks him with a large wrench, taking his head clean off. His corpse lands on the road besides her and his twisted ghost peels out of his corpse much to Alice's distress.

    Present day

    On TV Alice watches the news where a ghost races down a motorway and the authorities bring a suppressor gun to bare on it, against all warning not to fire it near cars (the blast interferes with the communications between cars that stops them ever crashing). They fire and the ghost smashes into a car, as the car has lost comms it reverts to safe mode and puts on the brakes causing a massive pileup. Alice grabs a bag and her ghostly friend is seen for the first time, it's her dead boyfriend... she warns him to be gone by the time she returns.

    5months ago

    Hotwire is recuperating in hospital and Mobey's family come by and see her. His daughter Molly gives her a Doug bear that remembers birthdays and tells you if people have been in your room while you were out. She shows Molly her arm undergoing repairs, its skeletal with loose veins and arteries attached.

    Present day

    Alice is concerned that the ghost on the motorway caused physical damage to the car he hit which should not have been possible. Rantz is on scene, using suppressor guns on the blue-lights, and not happy with Alice's methods and when he breathalyses her she is over the limit and he has her arrested.

    Mobey calls Dr Love and gives him the news about Alice. He is happy she's back as with Rantz in charge they have been getting little data back to use. Looking through the glass of a lab we see inside a massive ghostly spider-like beast.
