    Very little is known about Horst Eismann. A sickly man and an extremely successful arms dealer, he became obsessed with collection and curating a massive collection of strange and unusual objects.


    Horst Eismann was created by Grant Morrison and Richard Case. He made his first appearance in Doom Patrol #27.

    Major Story Arcs

    The Painting That Ate Paris

    Eismann's observatory in the Alps is invaded by the Brotherhood of Dada, who successfully steal the Painting That Ate Paris. Though distressed by the loss of the painting, he is happy that the Brotherhood have left behind two of his guards transformed into glass, which he decides to add to his collection. After the painting is partially restored, he takes it back into his custody, though it is put up for auction later.

    Powers and Abilities

    Horst Eismann has no known superhuman powers or abilities. He is quite intelligent, and incredibly rich.
