Apparently Stryfe noted that Hope Summers has a lot of potential to become a powerful mutant, perhaps more powerful than Stryfe or Cable could ever be. Curious to see where Hope goes and where Hope ends up.
Hope Summers
Character » Hope Summers appears in 1422 issues.
The first mutant born after M-Day, Hope Summers is believed to either be the mutant messiah or the harbinger of death for humanity. She is an Omega-level mutant power manipulator and possesses a connection to the Phoenix Force.
Hope Summers.
" I wish they would show what her power is already. "A Phoenix-like powerful exploding power....
Because of um the whole when was born, y'know when Alaska exploded...
but I'm going to start reading Cable... starting with #21!
"I never understood what Stryfe intended to do with Hope. "I always got the impression that he wanted her for the same reason that Apocalypse wanted Stryfe when he was a boy... as an 'heir' to transfer his consciousness into in future & therefore ensuring his immortality.

"@sora_thekey: I can't remember if it was specifically stated that was Stryfe's plan. I always felt that was going to be the direction they wanted to go in when I saw the cover of her wearing Stryfe's armour. As if it was symbollic of what would happen to her.

She's basically the trillionth telepathic character. And do I see a mustache in the pic above my words? XD
I would actually be pretty satisfied if Hope is the restored Jean Grey after having gathered all her "shattered pieces" from Endsong. But if that was the case, then there would be no Madelyne Pryor anymore because she was a part of Jean's consciousness from when the Phoenix Force died. The released essence made a pit stop to Madelyne at Sinister's lab before heading back to Jean, who was still in a cocoon/egg at the bottom of the river which gave Madelyne life in the first place.
" @erik: Consider the following: -Both initially appeared in Alaska -Both seem to bear a strong resemblance to Jean Grey (for Maddie, the reason is obvious) and some connection to the Phoenix Force (I've always read that Madelyne "awakened" after Dark Phoenix killed herself, but I'm unsure where that is referenced). -Making Hope be a resurrected Jean almost seems too easy. I expect a twist. -Sinister, who created Madelyne and always seems interested in the Summers clan, was heavily involved in the story in which Hope appeared. Coincidence? Maybe. But it could be a big clue, as well. -Madelyne was Cable's mother. Cable is raising Hope. Wouldn't that create some rather interesting symmetry? -Bishop's apparent insanity and belief that Hope is some sort of catalyst for his own time would be slightly more understandable and believable if Hope were the Goblin Queen rather than simply Jean Grey, wouldn't they? Maybe she really will bring about some sort of ruin... -Madelyne has really only returned intermittently since her death in Inferno, and it had gotten to the point that I'm not sure any of those appearances were actually her. "It was reinforced in Inferno where Sinister was telling her origin. She came to life when the Phoenix died. Most of Madelyne's appearances were in X-Man issues and she was basically a psychic ghost.
