Scooby-Doo is a Great Dane who is the pet and best friend of Shaggy Rogers. Due to their cowardice, Scooby-Doo (and Shaggy) are often bribed by their friends (Velma, Daphne and Fred) to go on several of their adventures using Scooby Snacks.
Scooby-Doo's best friend - he adopted him from a Puppy Farm and lovingly cares for him. A cowardly dude who is scared of monsters! Despite that, Shaggy is a member of Mystery, Inc.
This cheerfully theatric pink mountain lion is heavily inspired by voice actor Daws Butler's impersonation of Bert Lahr's brilliant performance as the Cowardly Lion in the 1939 Wizard of Oz film, but whereas the Cowardly Lion had wanted to find the courage to be a worthy king of the beasts, Snagglepuss wants to find his place on the stage as a theatre actor.
