    Hiro Mashima was born May 3, 1977 and is a Manga artist and Creator. His notable Works are Rave Master, Fairy Tail and Edens Zero. His (main) creations are published in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine. He has worked on 10 different mangas as either a contributor or creator. He currently has a Younger Daughter.

    Rave Master

    The manga Rave Master follwed a boy named Haru (The Current Rave Master) as he quests to find the remanding Rave Stones along Plue and Elie. The manga lasted 296 chapters and ran from 1999 to 2005. The manga received positive reviews yet it wasnt widely popular though it had a fanbase. It earned a 3/4 stars form Del Rey magazine stating it had a shaky story at 1st but generally picked up after the first story arc.

    Fairy Tail

    Fairy Tail is a manga that started in Aug 2, 2006, and ended in July 26, 2017, lasting 545 chapters. The manga was published by Kodansha and the story revolved around Lucy ,Natsu and their companions of Fairy Tail as they go on many adventures. The Manga is very well received as it once marked the top ten Mangas of the year.'s Deb Aoki listed as the best Shonen of 2008. It is also the winner of the Kodansha Manga Award for Shonen manga of 2009. The Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animations Industry awarded it best comedy Manga of 2009.

    After the original series ended in 2017, a continuation under the name of Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest started in 2018, written and storyboarded by Mashima and illustrated by Atsuo Ueda; It focuses on Natsu Dragneel and his team from the titular wizard guild (Fairy Tail) as they aim to complete an unfinished, century-old mission.

    Edens Zero

    Edens Zero is an ongoing manga series (as of February 2023) that started in June 27, 2018, and it's serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine, like it's "predecessors". It focuses on Shiki Granbell, an orphan raised by robots on the deserted theme park planet Granbell, who meets and befriends Rebecca Bluegarden and her cat Happy (not the same as the one from Fairy Tail) when they visited the park in order to record videos for the video-sharing website Aoneko Channel. Shortly after their meeting, Rebecca and Happy were abducted by residents of the theme park which later revealed to be a ruse to make Shiki leave the planet with Rebecca and Happy since all the residents are about to shutdown. Shiki rescues her and together escaped the planet to explore the Sakura Cosmos with Shiki aiming to gain 100 friends along the way.

    • When Asked about Gray Fullbuster's habit of stripping at SDCC, he replied that it was a habit of his own.
    • He originally planned for Fairy Tail to last only 10 volumes but that changed due to both Fan base and him personally wanting to continue drawing the manga.
    • He originally was going to name Shiki (Edens Zero) as Ziggy, possibly in reference to David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust, however he ended up using this name for the main villain of the series.
