In the nuclear-ravaged ruins of New York, Hex battles his deadliest nemesis - The Batman! Michael Fleisher introduces the Batman of the year 2050 A.D.!

    ASSASSIN HEX

Jonah Hex is simply on his way through town when an attempt to highjack the gear, equipment & supplies he's carrying on his person is foiled by his superior strength and plain out right meanness. Seeing that Hex is a force to be reckoned with, he's hired to assassinate another individual who's become a recent nuisance: a man who dresses up as a bat to fight crime.

In true "superhero team up" fashion these two end up head to head more than once after Hex takes the assignment to kill him.

Similar to Bruce Wayne's Batman this new Batman dresses up in bat stylized armor with a cape and cowl. He operates out of the statue of liberty (his Batwing docking up right in the statue's flame) and like a mutated trout swimming up the stream of Holocaustic crime this Batman often settles for the simple elimination of any and all guns in New York city as he heads "home" for the night another job well done. At least then average citizens are not being victimized by them.

    LADY LIBERTY IN THE BELFRY

While his name was never given the new bearer of the Cape & Cowl was a world class gymnast and doctoral candidate in criminology before the end of the world came. Idolizing the original Batman, he was researching Bruce Wayne's spectacularly brilliant career, actually down in the Batcave's trophy room when the first wave of Intercontinental missiles struck protecting him far under the ground as one hundred and fifty million others proceed to die.

Upon emerging from the safety of the cave he'd soon witness his parents; an advocate for stern gun control, and a top level disarmament negotiator, murdered in the street in his very own arms. Like his predecessor before him, this new orphan of the night, took up an updated cape and cowl for his own crusade against justice centered around the one and only monument of truth, justice, and the pursuit of liberty still standing.
