    Heroes for Hire v3 Issue 2 0

           Hello hero. This is Control. Are you for hire tonight? Those three sentences make a great impact as the calling card of the new Heroes for Hire. Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning bring Brad Walker along for what looks to be a great new set of characters to elevate to new heights. A simple concept and a flawed group of characters seems to make for the best books and here's hoping Heroes for Hire can do it. So how does it turn out?     Now I'm Starting To Like This 0

    The latest incarnation of Heroes For Hire has an interesting twist and a secret waiting to be discovered.  The Good I had some problems with the first issue. I still have some with this one but I am coming around to liking where this is going. The whole premise of the team is based on the fact that Misty Knight is leading the team while be controlled by someone else. Hopefully by now you know that that other person is the Puppet Master.     This titte is one of the best new series of the year, filled with action, good dialogues, a mystery involved and the ability of the writers for capturing and channel all the good characteristcs of the heroes and use them into the plot. DnA are doing a great job in this book, using themes that are common in the street level scene - like drugs and weapons´smugglers - but adding new flavors to it - like the whole demoniac weapons thing in this issue (I loved the "Damnunition" name).
