But MOST importantly, Hero Comics reunites the original “Sandman” creative team of Neil Gaiman, Mike Dringenberg and Sam Kieth for “My Last Landlady,” their first collaboration in more than 20 years!

    Hero Comics 2011 is a benefit for the Hero Initiative, an organization dedicated to helping comic creators in need. Most comic creators are freelancers who have little job security and no benefits. So, while I don't think this anthology of work by some of the top names in the field is particularly great, in-and-of-itself, by buying a copy, you're doing good for those who've entertained you for so long.    So, what do you get?
