I am pretty excited they are going in a new direction with Hercules. They haven't done much with him, he's more than just a strong guy (has one of the best personalities in the Marvel Universe I think), but he has always just been lacking. Anyways new series looks great and Herc #3 will cross over with Fear Itself event. I hope everyone is in agreement.

Tough! I saw him first!
This series should be awesomeness.
" @PowerHerc: Fear not friend, the wise cracking, all powerful Hercules we all love and know will be back in a jiffy... or... maybe not? "
I don't need him to be all-powerful, I just want him at his normal, classic, incalcuable strength-level. That's all I'm asking for.
That was pretty awesome, maybe we can get a good balance of jovial Herc and this new I am a Bad@ss Herc!

Centuries ago, he aided Atlantis in a time of great need and suffered great betrayal for his efforts. Now he’s back – but is he bent on revenge, or has he been consumed by madness? Don’t miss The New 52 introduction of…Hercules! Good luck, Aquaman!
Hopefuly this new version is better than the old one.
Thanks for the info!
Hopefully DC gets it right and uses their version of Hercules as a hero again.
The last time DC did a decent job with Hercules was in the 70's in an ongoing called "Hercules Unbound."
In that series Hercules looked like this:
@powerherc: PowerHerc, I heard about theory that Marvel wants to use Herc as little as possible, because people would mistake him with Disney version of Hercules lol. What do you think about this?

I've considered the possibility of Disney suppressing the Marvel version of Hercules because they have an interest in making their own original version the most widely recognized character associated with the name Hercules. I don't know if this is the case, I hope it's not, but it sure seems like that's what is happening.
