Origin
Not much is known about Henry Halliker. He was falsely sentenced by the Juris for the death of his brother, Duane, and sentenced to the basement of the House of Secrets.
Creation
Henry was created by Steven T. Seagle and Teddy Kristiansen. He made his first appearance in House of Secrets #1
Major Story Arcs
House of Secrets
Henry is summoned to the House of Secrets, where he faces and is judged by the Juris as guilty in the death of his brother, Duane. There is no Witness present at his trial. Later, after Rain Harper comes to the house, Henry escapes the basement through the fireplace and gets Rain to have the Juris show her his secret. Henry had scored some heroin to sell and brought it home and fell asleep. His junkie brother and some of his friends got into the stash and when Henry woke up Duane was dead. Henry didn't know how any of it happened. Rain disagreed with the Juris' original verdict and let Henry leave the house.
Over the course of the next week, Henry tried going back home, visiting his mom was no good, he could even kiss his girlfriend without torturing her. So he started making his way back to the House of Secrets. He didn't care who saw his flaming body as at one point he crossed the street in front of the private investigator Rain's brother had hired to find her. When Henry finally returned to the house, Rain was having a couples party. Henry was tired and angry and demanded to be let back into the basement. The Juris denied him access on the account that he had already been tried and sentenced and he had no more secrets. Henry started to set fires through the house and the Juris, led by a frenzied Pfaultz, sought to try someone in his place. Rain, not willing to send any of her friends to the hell that is in the basement, used the only mean's she knew of to be rid of the spirits - the Devil's Gavel she found on a trip she made to the basement. With one whack, the Juris and there spectral energy was gone, Henry was gone and Rain saw the house engulfed in flames. But the fire didn't last long. As soon as the last person had crossed the threshold going out the door, the fire stopped.
