    Created by Chris Lowder and John Higgins, Hemlock Bones (aka Ernie Grice) appears in the two-part 2000AD story 'The Great Detective Caper'.

    Ernie Grice is a terrible actor and after being fired from his latest job playing the great detective 'Hemlock Bones' he's left wondering what to do next. At which point he is beamed to the distant planet of Squarl by a group of desperate aliens who need to him to solve the problem of the two identical twins and which of them should succeed to the throne. The wrong answer will mean his death...
