The dvd hits the stores today. I have some reservations but I'm sure it'll be good.

They're probably about what you expect. They don't really follow the comics, they don't really follow the live action movie. But it's entertaining enough if you catch it on TV. I just wouldnt pay for it.
WHAAA WHAAA THE ANIMATED MOVIE DOESN"T FOLLOW THE COMICS....................................SO F WHAT , the cartoon, movie, and comics version of the Hellboy universe are SUPPOSED to be different. Its what makes them unique. God I hate fanboys. The animated movie Sword of Storms was great. Buy it if you like Hellboy. Sorry got a bit riled up there.
I was just saying what to expect for those who asked. And it's a different medium, obviously there are going to be changes, I was just clarifying for those who don't post but still read this. And if you read my post again you'll probably see that I didn't say not-following the comics/live-action movie was a bad thing.
Np, and I agree. What's the point of seeing the exact same thing if you already know how it's going to end.

Sorry wasn't meant to be directed at you. Just tired of some fanboys wanting direct translations of the comics.
Well actually, im a hypocrite on that, I bought the "Shaun of the Dead" comic, even though i've seen the movie about 15 times. It can't be helped, I <3 that movie.
