    The Talking Villain 0

    In this issue we discover the mysterious villain of the piece is actually the legendary Rasputin. We also find out how he came to power and his desire to bring Hell to Earth. Here we have a classic example of the talking villain. Rasputin goes on for pages and pages about his plan.  It pretty much buries the rest of the story.Thankfully the dialogue is strong and interesting enough to carry this off. Not much in the way of action, but the story is set up for issue #4....

    Extremely Weak and Incredibly Old 0

    Hellboy keeps fighting against that huge frog. Meanwhile, this Russian Nazi is telling him his freaky story and his history. Hellboy found out that he got Liz, and the only thing we see about Abe is the last strip in this issue, and it doesn't seem so good.   So all this history of Grigori is interesting, though he talks like a crazy Nazi, which is never good. But you know, as long as Hellboy will kill him in the end -> I'm fine. And I believe he will.   Two bad things were in this issue [no...
