One Last Love Song under the Setting Sun

This is the third issue of what was supposed to be 6-self contained stories where Warren Ellis explores Horror humans make Verses Magick and the reality of it.

Two short stories are presented in this issue: The Setting Sun, which is a story about the ghost of a Japanese man needing to move on to the next world.  John Constantine must help to exorcise this ghost.  The Second story is a love settler to past loves in John Constantine's life.

The Setting Sun story is one of my least favorite of all the John Constantine stories Ellis wrote.  It is short and the horror is twisted, but he has better and longer horrific stories.

The redeeming part of this issue was the "One Last Love Song" short, although it is short and really means nothing to new fans, it is a nice love letter to past characters like Emma and most likely past loves that Ellis invented so which he was planning on using later in the run if he didn't leave prematurely.

This is one of the comics in the Ellis run that you can pass in back issue and read it in the Setting Sun trade.
    Cheers!
