Helen Stone first became involved in comics in the late 1980s when she worked for Marvel UK
on their The Real Ghostbusters
comic as a letterer. She also acted as a colourist and editor on this title and, on one occasion, as a writer. She began to work more frequently as a colourist in the early 1990s, colouring such titles as Death's Head II
, Dark Angel
and The Knights of Pendragon
, among others. During this time she continued to work as a letterer, lettering for the Doctor Who Magazine Special
, The Sleeze Brothers
and The Transformers
, among others.
Helen Stone, also known as "Hel," was born and raised in the United Kingdom. She retired from comics to work on children's books sometime after 1995.
