I've always loved the graphics and ominous backstories at the end of each character's fight/mission.  I'm surprised there hasn't been any talk here since the other fighting franchises seem to have some talk going.  I wasn't sure if I was just missing the thread but I couldn't find anything.  I do think fighting games can get boring and redundant but I've always gone back to Tekken with each game.

I love me some Tekken. I can't wait for it to come out. My fave characters are Christie, King, Raven, and Jin.

I dont even know any Tekken fighters. Im a Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter expert.

I would play through every character just to watch them, even though they were too short.  Great graphics."

Yeah, I love that cheesy stuff!  The artwork was nice, and the voice over was pure cheddar!  The plots were okay, but given the short amount of time they had to tell a story they couldn't be too long or in-depth... but I'm not dismissing it... I love it that way!!  As for Street Fighter, I barely remember any of the stories from that, and they were all kinda... well, boring really.

I love the fact that the moved in Tekken may be outrageous, but when you've been playing it for too long you start to imagine doing them yourselves.  The same effect after you've been watching a Bourne film... that suddenly you're hard as nails and can miraculously perform hardcore martial arts that would take years to perfect ;)  Street Fighter is all about the Lightning Kick & Haddouken.  Snore!!

Actually, I grew up playing Street Fighter & thought that Takken (when it came out) would be a 3D P.o.S.   It was when I started to play it that I grew to love it.  I think SF is horrendously out-dated, despite it's hardcore following.  It doesn't even look realistic compared to the moves in Tekken.  

But they are just beat-'em-ups.  They're about beating the snot out of your opponent with unbelievable combos and outrageous moves.  Street Fighter really IS just about Lightning Kick and Hadouken.  Just as Tekken is about brutally hard hitting guys and under-wear flashing girls.

Really great game, IMO. The campaign sucks, but the fighting is extremely solid and fun and I like it more than Street Fighter now. The online play wasn't as bad for me as everyone was saying it was, but it was a bit iffy. They're going to be putting out a patch to (hopefully) fix it, though, so that's good.

Yup. It's just my opinion but Tekken is just really boring to me and a rip-off.  Ganryu = ripoff of E. Honda (basically wears same sumo outfit,color and all)Marshal Law = ripoff of Fei Long (yet i do kno fei long is a rip-off of bruce lee, but you know what i mean) Paul = rip off of Ken (come on even the gi is similar) Jinpachi Mishima = Akuma. Jin = definately Ryu.  IDK. you guys entitled to your on opinions. as it is just a video game.. but thats just what i think "

IDK I just think alot of them just kind of ripped off the looks of some SF characters... but a good thing about Tekken is all the unique fighting styles. 
 
i was kind of just exagerating about the hit Y 9 times combo thing...combos are just easy to pull off on that game. you could easily get your ass kicked by someone who JUST started playin the game AND sucks at fighting games, and you been playing for years..... It happened to me. And i use to contend in Tekken tournys and usually get top 3.

btw i had to look up if SF ripped off ne thing and i found this site, it's kinda of cool how most of the people 'influenced' the SF characters.
