    Héctor Germán Oesterheld was one of the more prolific writers of Argentina. Amongst his works we have: Bull Rocket, Sergeant Kirk, Ernie Pike (with Hugo Pratt). Later he publish another great work: Mort Cinder (with Alberto Breccia). Along side El Eternauta, Mort Cinder was his more relevant work. Oesterheld was part of an organization called "Los Montoneros", because of that, the dictatorial government of Gral. Onganìa, kidnap his wife and daughter. He escape the country, and returns illegally after to Argentina to search for his family, but the government agents took him as prisoner and his body was never found.

    His wife was found after, and she sale the rights of El Eternauta.
