It’s the battle you’ve waited to see! With the Ancient Spirits of Evil ravaging Eternia, Lion-O rushes to aid the Masters of the Universe in defending their world. The only thing standing in his way is…He-Man?! The epic battle between the super-heroic 1980s icons breaks loose as the Sword of Power clashes with the Sword of Omens! This one you do not want to miss!

The Ancient Spirits of Evil are destroying Eternos, and the Masters are trying to get people to safety. Meanwhile inside the castle Lion-O gets permission from King Randor to take Prince Adam's dead body, along with Cringer, to the Onyx Pyramid to attempt to resurrect him.

Once at the Pyramid, Lion-O puts Adam's body in Mumm-Ra's sarcophagus, and waits. At one point he hears Monkian, Jackalman, Beast Man and Tri-Klops, elsewhere in the Pyramid and transforms Cringer into Thunder-Battle Cat and sends him off to scare away the villains. Because of this Cringer isn't there when He-Man emerges from the sarcophagus, alive but driven insane.

He-Man and Lion-O battle, and it isn't until Lion-O uses Sight beyond Sight on He-Man that He-Man comes out of the insanity. The pair then regroup and prepare to save Eterina, unaware that the Ancient Spirits of Evil have made it to Castle Grayskull.
