DC has brought He-Man back in comic book form. The current HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE series is being written by Keith Giffen and Pop Mhan is doing the art. Things aren't looking too good for He-Man as he is about to come face to face with Hordak. But it does look like He-Man is finally getting a new wardrobe.

DC has revealed the cover to the fourth issue, on sale July 17, drawn by Ed Benes. It's a bold move to redesign his look after all these years but you have to admit it is about time.

We might not be getting a completely clear look at his new outfit but what do you think based on this cover?

Pink and purple are very manly colors.

This is an improvement. He Man's previous "disguise" was to pull on pants and a t shirt.

I like it, Can't wait to see what the come up with for She-ra, not that her old look wasn't good

Nope I don't think he needs change because he is iconic the other way around period. Barbarian warriors and mythical heroes especially Greek amazons (like Wonder woman) should show skin because it symbolizes heroic nudity. I am getting sick and tired of this modernized trend of more pants and armor or modesty for characters that where meant to be naked like because that is how a mythical hero should be portrayed.

This is an improvement. Yes an improvement. I have a hard time taking Namor seriously when he's in his green speedo, so while I absolutely love He-Man I've had the same problem. Really if they turned the fur, whatever it was supposed to be, into a kilt or something? Yeah I could have bought it better as a barbarian styled outfit. Now this new one is great!! Maybe a little too tech looking with the leggings, but that's just a small complaint

At least now the gay jokes should die down. Right?

Hmm...I'm actually digging the new look! :)

It's going to take me bit to get used to all the changes they've made. I loved the Image version 10 years ago and this new one might grow on me.

He looks like he's related to Aquaman, but hmmm revived He-Man, my girlfriend's dad will love this

While I'm usually all for people covering up as much of their body as possible, this time I don't like it. He-Man and She-Ra's look must always stay the same!

Now they need to channge up his dad. Hemans dad looks like the burger king.

I like it, of course I did like the snake armor from the second series too. I'm on board.
