Well I ran across some
pages that are supposed to be from Hawkeye 1 on CBR.
Fasinating, I'm really excited about this title
Character » Hawkeye appears in 4822 issues.
I like the art, but seeing as Hawkeye never seems to be able to hold down an ongoing, I don't see this series lasting very long.
I liked Hawkeye & Mockingbird even though it was short lived. I plan on checking this out too. Looks like it may have a little more of a noir/crime slant. Loved this creative team on Iron Fist.

That is a fear of mine, but I really want it to succeed, but like you said it is probably more or less wishful thinking.

Another great character who deserves an onging, but can't hold one. I'm crossing my fingers for this series.

I don't like the Art. I would prefer it to be a bit more colorful. If they want to go for dark then the art needs to be more realistic. I'm holding out on this comic. If Hawkeye has a big role in this comic, then I may incline to buy it to support her.
They are going to need to give her a new name if her and Clint are going to be in the book together otherwise it will be a confusing mess...

According to Hawkeye, the world is big enough for 2 Hawkeyes. He's trying to make Hawkeye into the next generation of superheroes. Hawkeye is his successor, so I don't have a problem with them having the same codename. Furthermore, if they are going to be sharing screentime, then the title of the book would be fitting since they are both called Hawkeye. Maybe when they are alone, Hawkeyes could refer to each other as Kate and Clint.
Caring less and less about this title each time it's mentioned. Miss the days when it was just the real Hawkeye not in a totally generic outfit.

Miss the days when it was just the real Hawkeye not in a totally generic outfit. To be honest, I think his old-fashioned purple outfit looks like a joke. When you put it in bright light, he looks like a purple Scottish with the kilt and all that. Marvel is obviously trying to capitalize on the portrayal and popularity of Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye in The Avengers - so it is understandable.
It is funny how much more Hawkeye is acting like Green Arrow than Green Arrow is in his own ongoing series. I wonder if half the reason Marvel is giving Hawkeye his own ongoing is because they want to capitalize on Arrow this Fall. Regardless I am a little more interested in Hawkeye than I was before I saw the preview.

Fodder w/ beer bottles > Clint, the man trained by Captain America.
I know, gosh that makes me mad
im going to try out first 6 issue regardless, as well as gambit.
but from what i see with art, i kinda like the noir style. hopefully the story of this book can go something like Dardevils on going series..i have high hopes for Hawkeye, Gambit on the other hand..mmm..idk..he isnt ongoing material.

I think most heroes can have a sucessful series with the right team. I have high hopes for both series and if they are destined to live short lives I will enjoy them for as long as they last. Unless they suck then I will be P!ssed.
@X35: You seem to think this about everything.
I'm looking forward to it. A lot of people didn't think Iron Fist could hold an ongoing as long as he did, so I hope this will follow the same pattern.
@Blood1991 You kinda put those in the wrong order.
@TheAnnihilator: I thought I might have, so I put a link. I was in a rush I was running a little late for work so I was rushing.

interesting...
I admit I'm a little disappointed. Hawkeye one of Earth's Mightiest Hero's now damaged dog rescuer..... If Fraction doesn't pick up the pace and make this good I be one unhappy Hawkeye fan.

Did they draw it with a potato? The art looks so amateurish.
I kinda like it. I don't love it, but I think I like it.
@Galactic_Man: It's iconic now :P Anyways it intentional by Matt Fraction.
And here’s Matt’s script…
PAGE ONE
THREE WEEKS AGO: Classic HAWKEYE: Clint, in hero costume, falling away from us, firing an arrow. MANHATTAN lies below him as some threat tries to yet again blow the place sky-high. Aliens? The Wrecking Crew? Frost Giants? Army of Ultrons? Avenger-Sentinels? I dunno, man.
So we start with the most classic Hawkeye image that has been conceived of to date; so classic in fact it’s sort of the only shot poor Clint rated in the new AVENGERS trailer. Falling, face up, firing. Maybe he fired a couple arrows and reloads another. Whatever strobe effects you want to play with, David, are always welcome…
