Founded by Martin Lock in 1984, before ceasing trade in 1989 Harrier Comics produced several black and white comics formatted mostly as single strip titles rather than anthologies like most British comics of the era. It covered a wide range of genres, including superheroes, SF and horror, and among its more notable characters, those who continued publication after Harrier ended, were Redfox, Brickman and Bacchus.
